The short film, "Stalks At Night" was the first short film of Ramsey Perez. This humble short film sparked the development of an independent film scene at the University of Texas at El Paso. It was made with the collaboration of the Digital Media Production Association at UTEP and media production company, Desert Lens Studios. This short became the first distributed short film under Mountum and went on to be selected at the 2024 El Paso Film Festival. At "Stalks At Night's" private screening before the festival, it was accompanied by this documentary which was shot, edited, and directed by Gwen Palomares. This documentary shows how the short was made, the dedicated crew behind-the-scenes, and the grit often seen in the indie film world.
